My name is Hannah Grant and I am the HG behind HG events! I was born and raised in rural Georgia, right outside of Chattanooga, TN but spent some time in Atlanta, GA and in Seattle, WA along the way. I got started in event planning working on political campaigns, where I coordinated campaign stops and fundraisers. I fell in love with the actual work of event planning, of different pieces of a larger puzzle coming together slowly until it culminates into something unforgettable.

I first dipped my toes into the wedding world in 2020 as the venue manager for Grandview, an event venue on Lookout Mountain. It was here I oversaw nearly 50 weddings and private events, and quickly became the in-house planner and coordinator for dozens of couples getting married there. I was able to build my network of incredible vendors and really fell in love with the wedding community in Chattanooga. I’ve been building the idea for HG Events for a while, and in 2022 I stepped out on my own to continue to do what I love in my own way. I’m hoping to carve out my own space in this amazing community; one that is wholly inclusive, understanding, and accessible for everyone.

When I’m not working on creating memories for others, I love spending time with my partner Chris, our cats Rosemary and Basil, and our sweet Golden Retriever Olive. Music will always be my biggest passion and I have headphones in or a vinyl on the turntable almost every waking moment at home! I’m a foodie at heart and a pretty solid home cook and baker. I love exploring Chattanooga’s bar and restaurant scene and I’m so proud of my list of the best spots I share with out of town folks visiting. I’m a sports nut (Go Braves, Vols, Falcons, Predators, and Sounders) and love going to games, and concerts and festivals.
